Hi everyone, I’m sorry it’s been a while… but I’ve been so busy that getting a few moments to post a blog has been tricky. Anyway, here we go. It’s great to talk to you all again and even though I have been rushing around, I do always find time to read the stuff on here.
To say it’s been an exciting time since the album and single came out in July, is a massive understatement! I’ve got the best job in the world for sure and even though I seem to spend half my life getting up at 4am to be at an airport at 6am, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Since I last posted, I’ve been to all of these countries, all full of amazingly warm and welcoming people who seem to be loving the album; Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, Italy, Holland, Germany and after the October gigs here, I’ll be off to Australia and New Zealand for the first time and Japan again. I can’t wait!
To clear up the confusion, my next single here in the UK will be ‘WONDERFUL WORLD’. It’ll be in the shops on October 16th.
I’m excited about putting a 2nd single out, particularly because ‘Wonderful World’ is one of my absolute favourite tracks off the album. I reworked it a few times when I wrote it (as you may have noticed from the original demo version on here) but I’m really pleased with the way it’s turned out. If you come to one of the gigs I’ll tell you the story behind the song…
On the CD there will also be a song I like called ‘My Uprising’. It nearly made the album, but we ran out of space. I’ve played it at a few of the smaller shows, so some of you may recognise it.
I want to say to everyone who came to the ‘V’ Festival and ULU that they were amazing gigs for me, because you made them feel that way! To hear you all singing along to so many of the songs was a totally uplifting experience and something very new, so thank you.
I’m already looking forward to the UK dates we’ve been able to squeeze in during October, and the December shows are nearly sold out in most places, so that’s fantastic!
I’ve added an extra show at London Astoria on 10th December to try and get to play to a few more of you…
