Well, what a great few summer weeks to look forward to!
Not only have I just finished my own UK forest tour, and a great show last Friday at the Tower Of London and Zurich on Monday, all of which were amazing… but now I’m in the USA to play shows with John Mayer!
The setting of the gig I did in Zurich was a beautiful outdoor square, it was amazing and I was hoping it’d be hot… which was a nice change after the rain wars we’ve been having in England!
I really can’t wait for the John Mayer dates which are starting tonight. Not only am I playing with a great artist, but I’m touring America with my full band and hopefully playing in front of some big crowds, which is always good… scary but good!
I first heard of John Mayer a few years ago, but only by hearing his voice and it really catching my ear… then out of the blue I heard this one song ‘Waiting For The World To Change’, a geat song I wish I’d written myself. It just stood out and so I went out and bought the album… twice in the end!
The whole album just blew me away. The fact I’m touring with John is such a satisfying feeling… to know I’m with a guy who is a great artist and has been very generous in what he’s said about me too.
I’m looking forward to finally meeting him.
So if any of you are going to the shows, make sure you get there a bit earlier and come and say hi.
