James has signed up for London’s Olympic Handover party on August 24. The concert will be held on The Mall, road leading to Buckingham Palace. The concert markt the moment London becomes the official Olympic city. The show will feature unique collaborations and specially-arranged performances, some with a sporting theme.
James says: “Being involved with the Olympic Handover celebrations, and playing in front of Buckingham Palace to thousands of people is going to be amazing. It’s one of those once in a life time opportunities and I am very excited.”
The concert will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC Radio 2. In the UK, the public will be able to watch the performances via giant screens, which will be erected in various areas.
Update: the London 2012 party will start at 3.15 PM (UK).
