Multiple Grammy-winning artist and musical pioneer Herbie Hancock, will be releasing a new cd with his ‘The Imagine Project’, an unprecedented international recording and film project featuring collaborations between music legend Herbie Hancock and over a dozen superstars from every region of the planet. James is one of those artists. He has recorded a jazzy version of Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’. Below is a clip his recording session. The Imagine Project’ is set for release June 21. It was a huge thrill to work with someone as legendary as Herbie Hancock and to record a classic song that is one of my all time favourites. The challenge was bringing something new to the best known versions, but I think that we have done that. Herbie is the most incredible musician and I’m honoured to be part of his unique work.
