WANTED: CORNWALL ARTIST TO OPEN FOR JAMES

On July 19th, James will play a special one-off gig at The Truro Hall in Cornwall. The show is in aid of Tanya’s Courage Trust, a charity helping young people with cancer, which James supports.

James is looking for a Cornwall based artist or band to be his support act for this show! This is a unique and hugely exciting opportunity for a local artist/band to shine.

If you are based in Cornwall and would like to support James at Truro Hall, send the following to info@connectedlimited.com

1 MP3 track or a link to a website/MySpace.
Name, Address, Contact Number, Age and 1 Photo.

The closing date for entries is 1st July, when James will choose the winning local act to support him.

James said of the competition, “When I was starting out, I wanted nothing more than to play live, but there weren’t enough places and I had to move away from Cornwall to get my music heard.

With this gig I hope to give some local musicians a focal point and a chance to get up, impress everyone, and move forward with their music careers.

The stage at the Hall For Cornwall is a brilliant place to perform, so come on, send me your music and let’s go ! It’ll be an amazing night and I hope we can put on a great show, as well as raising money and awareness for the Tanya’s Courage Trust, an organisation who work so hard on behalf of young people with very serious illnesses”.

James has chosen a winner to support him at his Hall For Cornwall, Truro gig in aid of Tanya’s Courage Trust on 19th July.

The winner is 19 year old Jack Wallen from Higher Brea, Cornwall.

James said “There were so many great entries for the competition, and it was difficult for me to choose one, but in the end I chose Jack Wallen because he had the best lyrical flow and a style of his own. I think he sounds great and I’m looking forward to seeing him play”.

MARCO CARTA – ‘QUELLO CHE DAI’

Marco Carta, an Italian singer, will be releasing his fourth album soon and the first single from it, ‘Quello Che Dai’, is a translation of a song that’s written by James. The English working title is possibly ‘Get What You Give’. Find more info about the song, as well as the lyrics, on the song page in music » song index.

Update: Apparently, Marco Carto wasn’t the only artist who has the song on his album. Polish singer Łukasz Zagrobelny had recorded a Polish version called ‘”Mówisz I Masz’, which he also released as a single in March 2009. Listen to his song below.
