Caco Tile Entertainment has announced that James, one of six international artists invited to perform at Ivete Sangalo’s show at Madison Square Garden on September 4, has cancelled due to loss of a member of his family.

James, I want offer my sincere condolences on your recent loss. I can only imagine how difficult it is for you and your family, and I wish you all the strength.

Recently, James performed at the Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland. Below you can watch a short interview with James at the show Meet The Artists.

JAMES AT HARD ROCK CALLING

On June 26, James performed on the main stage at Hard Rock Calling in London. The main act for this festival was none other than James’ idol Stevie Wonder, so it was a special and exciting day for James. He played 11 songs (setlist order might not be correct).

HAREWOOD HOUSE GIG CANCELLED

The promoter of James’ show are Harewood House on Friday 9 July has had to cancel the show due to unforeseen circumstances and which also affects another show the following evening at the same venue and which is also cancelled.

Rob McIntosh, Director of MA Concerts, the promoters, said: ‘It is with regret we have had to cancel these events due to circumstances beyond our control. It is only the second time we have had to cancel an event in over 12 years of promoting concerts. We realise the disappointment this may cause and apologise to all those people who had bought tickets.’

MA will be contacting all ticket bookers by email or telephone over the next few days to explain the options available in terms of receiving a full refund or opting to transfer their tickets to other events. More information is available on the website www.maconcerts.co.uk and for further ticketing enquiries customers can contact the box office directly on customerservices@bookingsfirst.co.uk or 0845 296 0000.

James is very disappointed that he won’t be playing this show and said “I really hope to be back in Leeds as soon as I can as I always have a great time playing up there. This was out of our control I’m afraid.”

NEW TOUR DATE: LEAS CLIFF HALL

NEW TOUR DATE: EXPOFACIC

Another date in Portugal! From July 23 till August 1, Cantanhede in Portugal will be expecting thousands of people for this year’s Expofacic, a trade fair, agricultural show and festival. James is scheduled to play on July 31.

NEW TOUR DATE: HAREWOOD HOUSE

James is going to have a busy summer again. He has announced he will be performing live at beautiful location: Harewood House in Harewood, near Leeds. The concert is on July 9. A few notes about this concert:
- no seating or shelter is provided in the concert arena
- no glass or plastic bottles will be allowed into the arena. This is not a picnic concert. Refreshments, including catering and bars will be available on site.
- juveniles (under 14 yrs old) must be accompanied by and be in the care of an adult (18 yrs old min), and there is a maximum of four juveniles in the care of one adult.
So, not really your average concert.

NEW TOUR DATE: HALL FOR CORNWALL

James will be returning to the Hall for Cornwall on July 19 to stage a special concert. He will be doing this concert in aid of the Tanya’s Courage Trust and donating his fee to the charity. It’s not the first time James has worked with the charity which supports local youngsters with cancer. In early 2007 he made a dream come true for Cornish fan Natalie Edwards when he met her backstage and made her a coffee.

Nikki Empel-Newman, Trust Manager of the Tanya’s Courage Trust, said: “We are so grateful to James for him choosing to support our charity, it really is such an amazing thing for us, and we are very excited.”

Tickets are now on sale.

Update: James says: “I’m really excited about the Truro Hall for Cornwall gig, as I haven’t played a gig at home in ages. It will be really nice to see some friendly faces. Also I am proud to be able to do a charity gig in Cornwall. This gig is to raise money for the Tanya’s Courage Trust which helps young people with cancer. I had a close friend who died young from cancer which makes this charity so important to me. So please if you haven’t already, put your hand in your pocket and buy a ticket. Look forward to seeing you all soon. xxxx”

NEW TOUR DATE: FESTIVAL SUDOESTE

James has just been added to the line-up for Festival Sudoeste! Festival Sudoeste is a large, four-day music festival that began in 1997 and takes place every August near Zambujeira do Mar, in southern Portugal. This year, it will be from August 4 till 8, and James is scheduled to play on the main stage (TMN) stage on August 6.

Update: To watch James’ concert on television, SIC Radical is the channel to watch, and Rádio Comercial is also broadcasting James’ concert. There will also be a live video streaming on Sudoeste TMN’s facebook page, which you can find here. James is scheduled to start at 9.10 PM.

Update 2: Rádio Comercial will also be interviewing James! Tune in at 7.30 PM!
