James wrote this song while he was still working on his first album. “The demo didn’t sound that good, we’d just put it down real quick, and I just kinda forgot about it. But it kept coming back up”. “When I wrote it I was thinking how crazy my life was becoming and how unreal my life started to feel. But having someone who knows me inside out really cements my reality into something concrete and without that life would seem like a dream. Out of this idea came the song.” His relationship with his girlfriend was the only thing that was still the same, and that made everything real for him. “It’s a good link between the last record and this one.”
